Maximise attendance, raise aspirations and achievements
The Education Welfare Service provides a range of services to support schools, families and individuals in maximising attendance rates in order to raise aspirations and achievements. Education Welfare Officers have a wealth of experience of working with children, young people and their families in helping to secure regular school attendance and related social issues that may have a negative impact upon a child’s ability to access their educational entitlement. There is extensive experience of individual casework management within EWS, which allows them to work with families in order to achieve better outcomes and where the need arises, collate the necessary evidence to undertake statutory intervention. They have sound knowledge of attendance issues including policies, regulations, law and best practice
We recognise that each school may have their own specific set of circumstances and challenges that are influenced by varying factors and are therefore able to offer tailored packages to suit individual needs or holistic approaches in improving overall attendance levels.
